Artist Statement
Ian MacLean Davis was raised in Lisbon Falls, ME.
Through abstract drawings, paintings and installations he investigates how pop culture manifests in nostalgia, memory and image recognition. As pop culture is a media (nee' technological) construct, the works also serve as experiments in analog-to-digital aesthetics. Davis holds his Master of Fine Arts from the Maryland Institute College of Art and has exhibited in New Jersey , Los Angeles & Washington, DC. He lives and works in Baltimore.
