Artist Statement
My work deals with the organization that man has projected onto nature, such as the theoretical study of mathematics, and the physical manipulation of natural material into man-made forms and ideas. I make delicate arrangements of natural materials to create seemingly arbitrary, but logical structures. I also observe natural phenomena and make studies which invite natural effects to take their course. I choose to collaborate with the earth. Most importantly, I am interested in what will remain and what the natural systems of the earth will destroy.
