Hamiltonian Fellow Larry Cook’s video works will be screened alongside Rashid Johnson, Jefferson Pinder and Alexis Peskine in CoDM in Multimedia, a live performance at the Lincoln Theater on Friday, December 12th from 7:30 – 10:00 pm.
This multimedia crescendo celebrates the conclusion of Ceremonies of Dark Men, a 5×5 project curated by A.M. Weaver and designed to encourage discourse on the subject of the Black Male Image via film, poetry and music.

Through images, film, text and music, the complexities of life as a black male is explored.
CoDM in Multimedia brings together diverse visual and performing artists whose work seeks to impact public perception of black men and reposition how black men are viewed.
CoDM in Multimedia will feature the musical impresario, King Britt, who will improvise to films by notable photographer/filmmakers Larry Cook, Rashid Johnson, Alexis Peskine, and Jefferson Pinder, with narrations by nationally acclaimed poet, Major Jackson.
AND a musical performance by DC’s own The Cornel West Theory.
